I was replacing the PS pump and the shaft connects to a 4 way key inside the vacuum pump housing, from the opposite way a shaft from the vacuum pump also connects into the same 4 way key, everything was fine and I had wonderful power steering again, except a major PS fluid leak from this zone where the two shafts key together, my question is does this round gasket in the pic go with its back against the shaft key or at the top of the housing ? I had to take it out to have a mounting hole welded that broke and now I'm confused, the gasket must be the source of the fluid leak and got slightly deformed taking it out, does anyone have a service shop manual on this subject of advice ? IM screwed like a pooch here and need some help, could be a simple as a new seal for all I know, Thank You
