Guys,

Just curious if anyone has received there PW injectors. We put a set in my friends 93 and he loves them. Not sure how many of you have ordered/received them. The deal will end next week, so if you haven't ordered yet, get in line.

Mine should be here any day. I will get home Friday from a road trip, they should be there then. I got to drive Rodney's truck in Burney a few weeks ago and hope mine runs as good as his!

Well I didn't order mine thru the "group order" as I already had mine ordered thru Jim Leonard,However..... I've had mine in about a week and they"re great. I also had my pump timing turned up and added a 14cm2 turbo housing so I'm not sure I can tell you anything about the injectors alone. But... . My power is way up!!, "quicker" is how I would describe it. No more turbo lag and much more power immediately. The "quick" is probably due to new turbo but the power is injectors and timing. No more smoke except at initial "punch"(pedal to the metal)and that doesn't last but a second or two. The EGT's are lower overall. I haven't tried it pulling a load yet. I have some baseline times at specific distances but they aren't quarter mile distances. I'll check how they compare with new stuff installed and let you all know soon.
As an added note I installed a Walker muffler just before I had the other work done and it seemed to lower the EGT's a little and give me a little more power(seemed like the turbo spun up faster?). The rest of the exhaust is Banks.

I called and got on the list but no one has called me back yet. The guy (Bill I think) took my phone number and said that they would call to confirm my order when they arrived. I was late on the list but hope they did not drop me. No one has called because i have caller I. D. I may call later this week anyway to check.

Mine shipped Monday, and should be here today. I'll let you guys know what I think soon. Hey BillyKidd, what walker number did you use to replace the banks muffler, how did it install, and how do you like it. Been contemplating that one myself. Thanks, Alan

I had a Cummins dealer put my PW injectors in and set my timing at 132 and they adjusted my valves,but it seems to idle a little rough,is this suppose to do this? if not does any one have any suggestions,other than that it has alot of power when you push that pedal down,they definatly helped.

Well, I put the PW injectors in my truck today. One word can describe it - WOW.

Acceleration is MUCH faster, Boost went from 15 to about 21, didn't have excessive smoke.

Still have some lag at takeoff so I will need to change out the turbo housing to a 16cm. Don't want to go smaller than that because I tow and don't want to worry about exhaust temps.

After that is changed, I will need to get the pump set up correctly for the new components.

Left the HP line's hooked up to the pump, removed the drain lines completly. Like GENEH, found lots of rust in the #6 bore. I remember someone discussing making a slide puller but couldn't fine the post to give thanks for the idea. I used a 1/2" fine thread nut with a 4" long 1/2 fine thread bolt. Installed a large 1/2" socket for a slide. Screwed the nut onto the top of the injector, slide the socket on the bolt and then screwed the bolt into the nut. A couple of wacks with the slide and the injectors slid right out. Because of the rust, I put a layer of never seez on the injector body hoping it will help keep the rust to a minimum.

Hey kohual: The walker I used was #21468, got it thru NAPA. I have a Clubcab longbed 4X4 with the banks exhaust system. All I needed besides the muffler was a 3" to 3 1/2" bell "reducer" to go from muffler out(3")to the Banks tailpipe(3 1/2"). It flows much better and I added it before the other goodies. Lower EGT"s(a little) and a couple more lbs. boost. No noticeable increase in noise level in cab but a little louder(COOL)outside. The injectors and smaller turbo "really" made the difference though!!!

My trucks in the shop today for injector install, and timing the pump to 1. 35 lift at a verfied tdc. Let you guys know what I think Monday. I gotta go to Texas for the weekend and film Missouri gettin' killed in football... :0

Well, they're in. The pump was already set at 1. 35 lift, so no gain there, and I'm not gonna lean on it for any more fuel due to the questionable long term reliability of the pump when leaned on. The injectors are nice, thanks for the setup on the purchase guys! But it's no mustang smoker... I went from 16lbs boost unloaded to 21, and 5 gear feels pretty nice, it sure hit's the govenor faster. I expect it'll pull a little more boost when I load it down with Land Cruisers to haul to the trailhead this weekend. I'm not overwhelmed by the change, but for $230, it was worth it. For the $499+$250 core BD wants, not worth it. The 16cm2 turbo housing is next, and that's as far as I'm going with it for fear of fragging out the getrag. Hopefully that'll get me into mid twenties boost range.

Pulling a 10k load this weekend was much better than before. I can now set the cruise at 70 and stay there, except for a coupla really big hills. Saw 1150 egt twice, got about 16 mpg... Smokes a little more now, I'll adjust that down someday #ad
This was what I was wanting, was to be able to leave cruise engaged in 5th. 16cm2 next...
