350 miles on my 6BT powered IH scout

Pics of the finished Bombed 6BT in IH scout

has anyone thought of or has put a 5. 9 in a vintage power wagon, or has taken the power wagon body and put it on a cummins frame, i have a wm300, and would like to get another to do a conversion, the original one is too slow for daily driving and a v8 conversion wouldn't be right. i am aware of some engine compartment limits, but need more ideas pro or con. any help or ideas would be appreciated.

It has been done, seen the pictures, but...

The front end was lengthened around 5 inches and the firewall was seriously doghoused to get it to fit. The increase in the front radiator shell is not a pretty sight.

If you were to lengthen the hood itself it would probably look a lot better, of course it would be more work.

Several people have put various 4 cyl diesels into them, Cummins, hercules and a phaser. A GM 6. 2 will fit, but the turbo won't.

I am looking at putting a 4 cyl cummins into one, but not positive on the Jump. The overal height of the cummins is right at max for the engine bay.

Hope this helps.
