:D Power Wagons are in!:D

Power up, smoke down and motor runs much smoother and is even quieter than before? It no longer has the ticking rattle sound at certain speeds that it had with the stock injectors. So far I love them. City Diesel were great folks to deal with and had the injectors at my door in two days at a great price. :p

rlyons,

I really like the PW injectors I have too. I don't have any smoke and low EGTs. They were well worth the money to me. Glad you have had a good experience with them. :D

Noise question?

rlyons,

I was wondering if you could explain the noise that you where hearing with the stock injectors? I am thinking that I might have the same thing going on under my hood. Only under certian throttle, light loads ocassionally, and at idle sometimes. Sounds like a ticking or tight valve/s, but I have checked the overhead, and can find nothing wrong. I would like to think that if it isn't what you are hearing, it might be an intermittent fuel knock, but how do you chase that ghost? When I change my oil next, I will be cutting the filter open, and I hope that all I find will be oil and filter... :)

Thanks for the input,

Russell

The noise I had was a clatter or clicking noise at about 2100 or 2200 RPM just prior to shifting gears, allmost like loose valves but I have adjusted them so I knew it wasn't them. I also heard it at slower speeds such as when driving in city traffic. My injectors had a lot of carbon on the tips when I removed them and when I installed the power wagons the noise went away so I guess it was either a defective injector or just dirty injectors.

I have run PW injectors since 1998 and love them. Now with my "built" pump they really perform. They are Cummmins 185s and you can see my numbers. They just keep getting better. :D :D
