Power Window Weak/Slow - Passenger side Front

I also have a dirty window track on the passenger side. Imagine that straight from the factory and we all have the same problem!

I have the same problem, dealer says it works within specs. Drives me nuts! I'll keep taking it back, they'll fix it when they get tired of seeing me. John

Mine's a tad bit slower too, I hadn't even noticed it before.

I wonder if the drivers window mechanism just loosens up a little because it's used so much more often?

Thanks for the silicone spray tip. I sprayed the channels and ran it up and down a few times and it made quite a difference. It seems that there is more drag on the pass. side front window - to the point that I could hear it dragging as it went up or down.

Well I tested the windows a bunch of times over the weekend. The dealer's idea of a dirty window must mean they can't clean windows either



It still hangs up half way down. I am gonna take it back in a few days and have a talk with them.



BTW... Mine was slow from day one also.

Yep. Had mine fixed once, but today it stuck again. Must'a got dirty again...

Funny, my dad took mine to the dealer to look at the torn window molding on the drivers side, and they noticed the drivers window making a popping sound, said it was a regulator and they would fix it with the seal under warranty. Dad mentioned the slow passenger window and they said there was no problem with it, but he could smell some kind of lube around the door area. Now, the passenger window is fine. Me thinks they cleaned/lubed it while checking the other side and said nothing. Don't matter to me, since it is fixed. They had to order a part for the drivers window, but it is operating fine, other than that noise, but maybe once in ten times you use it.

Hey, I occassionally have a "popping" sound in my drivers window too! All this time I thought it was normal!

I have a slow passenger side too. But my driver's side has a groaning problem going up and down. Sounds like the windows in my 1991 Beretta!



Here's my concern. I'm afraid the dealer will say the groaning is due to the Weatherflectors (installed in the window channel. ) Thing is, the window groans even once it's past the Weatherflector. Passenger side doesn't groan. It's just slow.



I guess I'll take it in so they can fix it and mess up something else, heh heh.

Jengle, did it make the popping sound while you were rolling the window up and down? My front passenger side window makes a popping sound when it is cracked open until it is at least half way open.

Yup, that's it. Mine was doing it intermittently on the driver side, passenger was just slow at the 1/3 down spot, dragging, but no noise. First time in I think they lubed the pass. window, as it has worked fine since. They ordered the drivers side regulator and installed it this morning. Works fine now, nice and quiet. If you need it, shoot me a pm and I will give you the part number off the work order.
