Hi guys. . the other day I went to close the driver's door window and only the rear end went up. I've got the mechanism as exposed as possible but can't discern what's causing the problem. There's this little ball ended thing that has popped out of the track on the part that holds the window, I'm able to put it back in place but it just comes apart at the slightest movement. Hayne's and Mopars manuals aren't any help, at least that I can find. Does anyone know how these work and which part or parts wear out? Any help would be appreciated!

TIA..... Dooner

The track bushing has worn out. See if you can order it as a separate piece. The regulator assembly is costly. Hope this helps. Mike

A few years ago another member posted that he'd had his window mechanism give up. Found that it was the "little ball end thing" too. There's supposed to be some sort of wheel or bushing on it and he found the broken remains of it. He couldn't get just the part that was broken - DC only sold the whole window mechanism. But he found a wheel or bushing or whatever from some other application that worked like a charm. I've tried to find that thread a few times and haven't had success. Wish I did. I suspect mine is coming due. It can be fixed, but not with parts from DC. You'll have to get creative. Pull the panel on the other door (working window) to see what you need and see if you can find a suitable part.

Let us know.

Power window

Found threads. . one is called "Did window fix", the other is "need power window track roller. " Unfortunately I don't know how to post the link.

Went to the dealer and, as was warned, they only sold the regulator. In one of the threads it was mentioned that there's a good chance the roller could be found at an auto glass shop. I'd like to thank you gentlemen for putting on the right track.

Thank you!

Jerry
