Help- NV5600 2001 HO clutch throw-out fork failure

air filter monitor

while running my powermax comp on high levels,ie. 8 & 9. when you really lay into in gets a sputter/surge/hestitation-also I have bullydog Stage 2 injectors 80 hp. Called TST and was told that I need a bigger lift pump. the box is dumping too much fuel there for the lift pump can not give the injection pump the fuel it needs.

It runs great at lower level 1-6.

Does this sound right

what would be the solution?

also NO i don't fuel pressure guage I am not sure of my fuel pressure is

thanksOo.

I was told by wildcatdiesel that after level 6 the comp was so aggressive that it would do what you are talking about. Yes the fuel system does need to be upgraded. I ve seen 1 psi on mine with different banjo bolts installed. I would like to make a suggestion to which fuel pump that is so far the best one in my opinion. Search this website www.smokindiesel.com

I am right there DieselFreak1 with my FMS box. Anything more than about 20% and the low fuel pressure light goes crazy. All I can say is here I come PE4200!! Oo. Oo.

You definetly need to get the fuel to the vp44 with the comp box. I have a new lift pump and bigger banjo bolts and still suck the pressure down to 6 psi in the 1/4 mile. You should be running at least one fuel pressure gauge and 2 (pre and post filter) is the best. Sometimes a dirty filter will restrict flow just enough to cause surging and hesitation with the comp box on 7,8 or 9. :D

Yep and when I did the PE conversion the fuel pressure only drops to 11 when the box is in drag mode (FMS) 14 when on 63% min smoke as the pump recovers easier.
