I was reading about the tST powermax vs the juice. Curious why the PMCR has 2 settings power and torgue when the juice has one "power"

Is the pmcr changing more things then the juice?

Which is better for my truck? Its stock transmission and turbo.

thanks

I just bought a TST PMCR but have yet to install it. My understanding of the two different settings is to adjust low RPM fueling and high RPM fueling, so you get a little bit more adjustability to tweak it to your individual preferences. The stock turbo is rumored to be ok up to about level 3/3. I'm sure my plastic intercooler is not.

Exactly what TSpecht said, Torque settings raises the torque level at 1700rpm and the horsepower setting raises power from 2200 and up. From having the TST I noticed I like to run a higher hp setting over the torque especially with the standard version which fuels from 12 psi and up. I have been running 4/2 lately for normal run around. Towing 8k, I use 3/3 and I hit my backdown at 1300 preturbo on large inclines. The higher the torque level the hotter it gets, faster. Knock on wood my stock plastic i/c is still intact. Do the wastegate mod, the highest psi I have seen was 37, but it drops off to 29-32 fast.

If you read TST's website they ran a stock turbo up to 9/9 with just a clutch and pusher pump added. I bet the stock turbo won't last long though.

I think the TST does more timing than the juice because of the way the TST does the timing, it uses the Crank and Cam sensor...

But the Juice is way easier on a stock truck, Heck thats what it was designed for. The TST PMCR will require a bit of self control, though I ran 9/9 on the dyno, I never dare tried it on the street

Also the Attitude is quite a cool little gadget, with more feature then I could ever want, or need

I would recommend you attend an event and see both, and maybe ride in a truck with both, etc, etc

In the end both are great boxes and both can make 180 hp (Juice would require the HOT upgrade)

EDIT - Also consider that the TST powermaxCR will have boost limiter and cool down timer soon...

Just out of curiousity, is the boost limiter and cool down timer expected to be a just a software upgrade, or does it require different hardware? I don't really think I need either feature but just curious how they're doing it.

Some of both... so you will have to send yours in to be modified to get the new stuff

I love the low/high end fueling options of the PMCR. After I installed the twins my daily drive setting became 6 hp and 8 tq because it took a little extra down low to get the turbos rolling but after they got up to speed I didn't need all the fuel at the top end. It worked out great. Before the twins I daily drove on 5:5 with my moderatly large single.
