PROPANE?!?! Yeah, I swore up and down, I'd never do it... DRUGS?!?! No, not me... .
Well..... succumbed to the bad influence of a couple friends(you know who you are!) and went for Keith Long's PowerShot 2000 system, with the new regulator. This regulator has a safety feature, it shuts the propane feed off, anytime the boost tops 20psi. It comes on at 2psi. It's adjustable, those are the settings Keith recommended for me...
The big deal is, and the selling point was, the benefits of towing a trailer with it. I haven't tried it yet with my travel trailer, but I used it while towing a VW Super Beetle home from North Carolina. Up into the Smoky Mountains, and up Jellico Mountain...
18mpg, and that was at an average of 70mph, with speeds up to 80 at times. And the VW on the tow dolly pulled horribly, an experience I don't wanna repeat.
Anyway, I love that propane system, it's everything it's advertised to be, and then some. Thanks a million, Keith !
There's no comparision between this and certain other inferior systems. Give Keith a call, or check 'em out at www.dieselperfproducts.com
