HELP!!



So, a group of us are heading to the mud drags last night. Its my turn to haul a bunch of the gang. Three of the guys in our group have PSr's. After several beers, they were relentless about what a pile of C%#P I'm driving. And of course, I had to hear all the war stories about their smoking the doors off Dodges and they travel the freeway...



Being the only one in my circle of friends that was smart enough to research and buy the right rig, it still tough to listen to these guys. I usually just let them grunt away, knowing that, in the end, I'll be doing far less work to keep my rig going, far less modifying to get what they can't out of theirs.



Any suggestions how to constructively tear them apart?
 
You could Start comparing the price of injectors! Modified PSD injectors start @ $2400 / set of 8! After all it really is a game of $$. Speed is expensive! How fast can you afford to go?:D As far as the motors go, the PSD's are strong, but expensive to fix, the Cummins will win in the end when the Bills are all added up. I know, I used to own a PSD:eek:
 
I have a thought...

Since I see the word "Valley" in your location, there must be a hill nearby. Offer a little challenge to them.



Hook up your trailer, haul all your buddies along, and climb the biggest hill you can find. Start from a dead stop at the bottom. Note the time required, the speed at the crest, and the overall "strain" on the rig. Now hook it up to theirs and repeat. NOTE: if they don't have similar tire sizes, you would be at a disadvantage.



Then show them the sticker under the hood. The emission one that says medium duty diesel engine (or word to that effect). Now show them their that says "light medium diesel engine".



Still not enough? jgram 35 had a good idea!:D The only thing worse than a bunch of brand loyal Furd nuts is a bunch of brand loyal GM nuts. I had a chat a few weeks ago with some folks who were trying to convince me that IFS is a better HD and off road suspension. :rolleyes:
 
Have some of them help you with an injector and fueling box install. Take them for a before and after ride, telling them that you're not sure if the upgrades will be worth it and want their opinion once the job is done. Once they see how easy it is to upgrade these trucks and how they perform afterwards, they will be selling their Fords and buying Dodges.

The first thing I'm gonna do is print off all the replies from you guys and then challenge them to the trailer on the hill of their choice. None of that flat freeway stuff. I'll keep you posted.

my challenge is up against a 7. 3 auto 4x4, a 7. 3 5spd 4x2, and a 6. 9 w/ propane 5 spd 4x4.
 
I' m all the time hearin' the Powderchoke stuff , I work with 4 of the most die hard Ford guys I've ever seen. All I can tell em' is If it's such a great engine, then why do the heavier trucks that Ford sells have a cummins in em' "Now what is the size of that thing anyway Is it a 5. 9 like say the one in my Ram. ;) I don't want to run em' down but when provoked what else can ya' do . :D I think the best part is when I show em' my receiver plug that says "REMOVE TO TOW FORD. "
 
Sled Pull Wars

JS, why don't you suggest to your Ford friends that they come on down to our area and take their turn in front of the sled. The name of the sled is "Terminator" for some reason!!!:) HEheheee:D After all, your not that far away. We have a pro stock truck that regularly comes down from Grants Pass. There is another truck that runs with the CM Pulling gang that hails from southern "O" as well. Their website is www.cmpulling.com.
