Does anyone out there have any experience with the "new" Powertrax no-slip ? I called their tech line and they advised the no-slip will be available for our Dana 80 rear in approx. 2 months. I have an open diff on my 2001, as I didn't care for the last two factory Dodge limited slips (Dorango 9. 25 and Dana 80 on our 98. 5)

I don't have any experience yet but I'd like to try the one for the Dana 70. A few of the 1st Gen guys have had experience with the lock-rite which is similar but not as quite. One likes while the other took it out. Just a matter of preference.

I have one in my very bombed 97 Dakota gasser. I like it, but if they are the same in a Ram, they do have some annoying tendencies which takes some getting used to. Both wheels are live, and turning either direction from a dead stop you'll get inside wheel chirping and skipping. I'm not talking about hard throttle here... . it's almost impossible to make a sharp turn. Also, some clicking/soft clunking sounds when backing up in parking lots, etc. But, from a dead, straight stop if you stomp on it you'll get two very even, black patches, which is what I really bought it for.
