Wish I wasn't such a procrastinator, my PW injectors came right around Thanksgiving but I waited until Dec 12 to install them, all I can say is #ad
WOW!!!! #ad

Boost went from 18-19pounds to 26 and I haven't tweaked with the pump at all, still need to turn my idle down. (It was in the high 20 degree range when I installed them, to cold out to mess around with the pump, can't get truck in the shop as boat parts are everywhere. )
Thanks to Don for setting up the group purchase.
HAPPY RAMMIN
Caleb

Who sells these injectors? It sounds like everyone on the TDR loves these things. What do they list for?

Thanks

You can buy these wonders from www.wentlanddiesel.com for about the price of new replacements.

I don't work there anymore, so I can promote them now #ad

Powerwagon,
Yes I do have a pyro, still haven't got the idle turned down so takes a little longer to cool off before shutdown, haven't hauled anything but a hill that I have gone up before empty and temp would get to 650-700degrees(pre-turbo)and accelerate from 50MPH at bottom to about 58MPH at top now temp gets to 850degreesbut accelerated to about 72MPH.

THEY BE HOT!!!!!!!!!!!! #ad

You can turn it down if you just have metric wrenches and a bitty screwdriver. Sometimes you can luck out and get the idle screw to turn by just loosening the jam nut and gently grabbing the threaded bolt with a pair of pliers and twisting it.

If you're lucky, you can do it even in nasty weather, because it only takes a few moments. On the other hand, if the screw won't turn easy... You better be in the shop, 'cause you're going to have to move stuff out of the way... #ad

Tried to adjust my idle on my '93 today for the first time. How the H#*% do you swing the wrench in that 1/2" space and then that little tube is exactly in the way of where the screwdriver needs to be. Is this peculiar to the '93? Are there special Cummins tools?
PW, I guess that stuff to be moved out of the way is what you're are talking about. Ended up just adding an M6 nut on the throttle plate end of the screw and letting it extend 1/32" that I needed to bump it up the little I needed.
Ah the bottom of the learning curve, no where to go but up. Glad you guys are here.

When I bumped the pump, A set of small picks came in handy.
I used a long narrow punch to loosen the lock nut.
Look on the back of the idle screw and you'll find a hole through it. An angled pick fits in there nicely! Stab and turn.

You turn it by using 2 or 3 wrenches with different angle heads on them. . or, by pulling the tube off (the tube is a 2 minute job, pretty easy). That tube is on ALL first gen trucks.
