I dont know if this a coincidence or not, but a few weeks after installing my practical solutions high idler kid my truck started dead pedaling and throwing the APPS code. If I turn the truck off and back on it will reset and be fine for a couple days of long drives (over 100 miles) but then code again. The person who sold me the high idler said there's no way it would void a warranty to have it on there so I was just oging to take it to the dealer with the hi idle kit on there.

Jeepmullet, your APPS problem not withstanding, how do you like that high idle kit?install easy?? seems to work as advertised? any complains?

Thanks Pete

Make sure the plugs are seated good and the connectors are clean and greased. I've had my PS High Idler for 3 years with no problems at all, it works well. Since you are intercepting the APPS signals, I'd definitely check those plugs before anything else.

Turns out my APPS was bad, hi idler nothign to do with it. It's been flawless working for me (the idler) and took just a couple minutes to install. You can only have it set as high as 1550 (or so) RPMS or else it will throw a code and give you the dead pedal. I got mine from the classifieds on another website... I've only had it for a few months but it's worked great so far
