Anyone know of the part number for the replaceable bearings in this idler pulley? Everytime it gets wet it squeels like crazy.

I emailed practical solutions about this last summer after I got back from a rainy trip up to Oregon, didn't hear a thing from them.

90 views and no one has one of these pulley's?

Any help would be appreciated... If not I'll just pull it and see if there is a number stamped on the race.

Thought these things were supposed to be the ticket

Why dont you just call practical solutions? When I got a high idler from them, they were very good to work with. The actually sent me the part before they had any money from me and just told me to send them a check. I'm sure they will work with you.

I sent them an email last July when the pulley started to squeel and didn't get a response. Thought that maybe they had gone out of business like so many smaller parts suppliers do.

I also remember them sending me the pulley before they got my check!

I'll see if I can find there number again.

www.autozone.com has a Dayco belt tensioner Assembly for $62. 99. You have to order it online. I don't know how good Dayco is but AuoZone and Advance Auto parts both carry them. Advance Auto Parts is about $20. 00 more. If that helps. -Jason

I replaced one on my '02 this week. I found that Dayco made the tensioner assembly, and in cross referencing it over to Goodyear, Auto-Zone, etc. that the number I needed in Dayco was a 89219 for the original plastic pulley with bearings, and 89403 for a steel version of the pulley. I called my local Federated Auto Parts Store (Dayco distributor) and found that they package the Dayco pulley in their store brand box, and it cost only about $19. 00! Such a deal! It was the exact original, bolted on perfectly and works fine. I gave them the Dayco 89219 number, and they got the correct one for me.

Is $19. 00 the price for the steel pulley?

No, the $19. 00 was the original polymer pulley. It included the bearings, and just bolt it on and torque it to 35 ft. lbs. Worked great!

So, now it's my turn to replace my pulley and after all my searching it looks like the PS pulley would be the way to go... only one problem... . seems like PS is out of busniess? Is this true, anyone have any info?

If this is true, anyone have any ideas as to the NEXT BEST THING? Already have my Gatorback belt, just need the pulley now. Thank you for your info.
