When I came to work today there was a printout from the Cummins Website on my desk.
It is titled Customer Assistance. One of my mechanics was trying to figure out a problem on a Freightliner with a "C" motor in it. The problem came down to the lift pump electric circuit.
The interesting point is the last paragraph of the article and I quote:
"Cummins requires that a fuel pre-filter must be installed before the lift pump on B and C Series midrange engines. "
Do you think maybe it might be the root of our lift pump problems?
