Brandx diesel

I can't speak for K & N but i run one on my Amsoil filter. I like the peice of mind of having one on there. Cheap additional insurance i guess. So far it catches quite a bit and it's easy to clean. I'm sold on them, and i'll be using it until i go back to the factory set-up.

i have one on my '01 and really like it. my truck is on a lot of gravel roads and dusty conditions, the pre-filter keeps the actual filter much cleaner. i just throw the pre-filter in the washer once a month, and that cleans it right up. certainly worth the money if your truck is operated in dusty conditions.

Which one?

Been looking at Summit Racing where I originaly bought my cold air kit from. Which wrap is best the cloth type or the foam???

If it has K & N on it, get rid of it. It won't give you any more power than the one Dodge gave you. Diesel Power did a test of after market air filters. None gave any improvement over the stock Mopar, and worse, some like K&N, allow gobs of dirt into your jewel of an engine. If Cummins finds out you are using one, you won't have a warranty. There is a past article in TDR with the details.

Pre-filter

Wher is this post that I might read it. There are a lot of people here that run K & N and have had no problems. 04. 5 with 180,000 miles on. WHAT WARRANTY????
