Is there a kit that I can install between my tank and stock filter that would be esier to change and also as a second filter. I run my truck and another friends diesel out of my transfer tank(we travel alot in the back woods in Maine and N. H. ) and want to avoid any crap in our truck tanks. I looked at installing a filter on the transfer pump itself and it looked retarded. It's more convenient to have the extra fuel with us than stopping for it.

Pre filter

I just came into the house from changing mine. All the fuel I put into my aux. tank is pumped through the filter. Mine is a Goldenrod and I bought it at The Tractor Store in Athens Texas but I have seen them at NAPA auto parts. I got the one with the clear lexan cover but they also come with a screw on cartrige typppppe and also with water trap. bg

fuel filters

Is that one that goes onto the tranfer tank or hidden under the truck? my truck is forest green with alot of aluminum diamond plate accessories, including the fuel transfer tank, very sharp and clean looking. The only thing I hate is the big red pump,so I am trying to avoid adding a filter to the pump.

Thanks for the reply

Bob

2002 forest green 3500 24v HOturbo 6 speed,KN filter ,side and crossover tool boxes,40gal transfer tank ,custom headache rack ,plow prep and trailer package... ... for now

Pre filter

My filter and pump are mounted under the left side of the bed just behind the cab, my pump is small electric pump from a diesel fork truck and takes about 30 minutes to fill my main tank when the filter is clean. bg

rbussey,

This is what I am using as a pre-filter (p/n 81794), I think it was $32. 99 from Summit. The replacement canisters are around $12. 00.
