I recently bought a fith wheel trailer 28 foot and I have a 2000 2500 dodge slt and it is stock, I need a little more power for pulling it. I don't want to spend a lot of money. I found an ad for a G-force performance chip for about 69 dollars, does anyone know anything about this chip? I need some advice.

I really like the Diesel Dynamics TTPM, but I am not sure it is around anymore. It is basically and Edge EZ with a reprogrammed curve to eliminate smoke and high EGT's when towing with larger injectors. Maybe you can find a used one?

P. S. I am removing mine today after all these years so I can take the truck in to get smogged.

The edge EZ is nice and the cheap... . but I wouldn't hesitate to use the Juice with Attitude monitor. It costs more to start with, but when you consider the cost of egt, boost, fuel psi, and trans temp gauges it's really a bargain. Plus, if you are towing, you really need the gauges regardless of what "chip" you use.

A couple others you can sometimes find for cheap is the Diablo Power Puck, adds 60hp or so and pretty smooth. Another good one is the van Aaken, especially the ones from 1999-2000 vintage. It's a tad bit less power than the EZ but much smoother.

I have heard good things about the TS Performance MVP module.

By the way in the Cummins world electronic enhancement boxes are generally referred to as power boxes instead of chips ;)

I think the best thing you can do is throw in a set of RV275's. Nice even power band gain and is exactly what is used in RV configurations.
