Ok guys earlier this week I met with Brandon, Truckpuller, James Silva and Louie to discuss some rules for the MLM/DSPA and the VTPA(hoping the VTPA would see our way 100%)---now granted this is still preliminary on VTPA's end, but if you want to pull this is what it looks like they want and I would think it will probably end up being this way--so get ready to either comply or not pull with the VTPA---
if you have TWINS, NOS or Propane:
no air bags(I'm pretty sure this will be for all classes)
driveshaft loops(don't know how many, but remember if you go back East to pull you'll need 9 of the things)
bellhousing/transmission blanket
NOS and PROPANE tanks in truck bed--nothing in cab--I think if you have a tank mounted under the bed that should be ok
they aren't sure we can have NOS or PROPANE yet so be prepared to remove the tanks and/or plug lines
MLM/DSPA rules will be a little diff as we are still working on them---
we tried to avoid all this by presenting him with the things we came up with, which were some recommended things and other mandatory things which would lead to mandatory in a year or two depending on how things went, but the new PRES of the VTPA wants this, as he feels our trucks have as much power as some of the souped up pulling rigs he wants us to abide by their rules---so get prepared boys to pull with them or not---
yes this is a pain and hopefully we can maybe prolong installation of some items until midyear, but it may not work like that----
flame Brandon and me all you want, but we tried our best to make things simple for everyone, but remember this is our 3rd to 4th year pulling with these guys and they now know what we have--chris
