Since I'm a profession meteorologist... I thought I would TRY to provide a (very) preliminary weather forecast for Thunder in Muncie (which is probably a BAD idea since trying to forecast 7 days in the future is an exercise in futility, much less two weeks!).

Anyway, based on the latest GFS ensemble mean (the "mean" of several runs of the same Numerical Weather Prediction model [GFS], each with slightly different initial conditions), there will be no major weather features for that time period. Therefore, am not anticipating any "organized" weather event.

I will try to provide updates as future model runs warrant.

My knees and hips aren't sore so I have to concur with the forecast given by wxman. :-laf

If I remember correctly, wxman didn't give us his prediction last year. It was a bit soggy...

Experience tells me that we should expect the opposite of what the weather guy tells us, should I assume the same here? :D

sorry, wxman. . couldn't help myself :)

That's great. I was just wondering this the other day, since Indianapolis just got the Indy 500 nearly washed out with rain... . I was hoping TiM didn't follow the same path.....

COMEONNNNN DRY WEATHER!!

I'm hearing a forecast similar to last year. Saturday should be super, with a high of 78* but Sunday is calling for scattered showers and thunderstorms. But who knows, we're still several days away, and they like to change the forecast about every couple of hours.

Probably can never rule out afternoon/evening "scattered showers and thunderstorms" this time of the year, but still does not look like anything organized (like last year on Sunday) to me. A cold front will be approaching from the west, but should still be west of Chicago by 00Z Monday. We'll just have to hope that a "scattered" shower DOESN'T go right over the events!
