I checked for threads about prelubers and noticed that there haven't been any for awhile. Does anyone have any preluber of any brand and can you provide any insight, tips, comments, gripes, etc. I had one on a 1994 1/2 ton and I've often wondered how much benefit it would really provide for a diesel which should get a minimum of 350k to begin with.

The new design by Amsoil sound pretty good, they are simply injecting a small amount of oil under pressure into the engines oil system upon start up. Not the actual pump like in the old system sold Thur Sales Professionals several years ago. This new system does not have the potential for leaks and problems as the last one. It simply stores a oil charge gained from the engine running oil system and uses that stored pressurized oil to pre-lube the engine before it's start up. I am going to install this new system on my truck, I'll have more info latter after the install.
