I have purchased a Premo Oil Refining system showcased in issue 27 of TDR.
The kit lacks all necessary fitting, hoses, and information for me to install it.
Has anybody out there installed one of these kits, and if so, where did you put the oil return line? And how do you like the system?
Premo wants the oil to return below the level of the oil in the pan and suggests that revising the drain plug may be in order.
I think that once installed, it will be a great system, but am disappointed with the kit. It should have been ready to install for our Cummins.

Thanks, PROBE

I do not have any experience with the Premo filter but I use a system from T. F. Purifiner (now Purodyne) on all my trucks and heavy equipment. I have returned the oil in two different places on my Dodges. I have spliced into the turbo oil return line with a Tee and returned oil there and I put a fitting in place of the drain plug on one diesel truck-both ways work but I worry about hitting something and knocking off the fitting from the bottom of the pan. The turbo return line is safer but requires more work.

Could you tap into the oil fill line? Or cut, mill or grind off the slot on the fill cap, then tap it into there?
I dont have one of these systems, I'm just making some suggestions.
