I replaced mine a few months ago. Now keep in mind, I have 4 of the 5 larger banjos installed and my FP at the VP inlet is about 15 - 15. 5 at idle (once things warm up) and about 13 give or take during normal driving. I can pull it down to 9 on a good WOT run.

Just replaced mine approx 3 weeks ago and 14. 5 idle, 11-12 @65 mph and 9-10 WOT. Guage connected at test port on VP

Graphic Man,

those numbers aren't bad. The WOT numbers are on the border line. What mode is your edge comp in when you have 6psi. at WOT?

Jason,

well the fuel side of the box is bad, Edge is sending me a new one,

the box is on 4x5 right now but i dont know for sure untill the new one comes in

but i dont like the 6-7 at WOT!

I agree. Mine is low too also. I ordered the max flow from Rod at Wildcat. Some fittings were on backorder. He is going to call me when they come in but I'm still waiting. only problem is working on the truck in the snow because winter is coming soon to sw PA.

i dont think a FASS setup is the way to go, IMO it's just another electric pump and in time it will burn it self out,

i think a mec. pump is the way to go and i think i will end up putting one on.

i spent a few years drag racing and even the BG pumps would not last, but for now i just wanted to see what other TRD members had for Fuel pressure with a stock LP

and see if iam on the same page.

Thanks for the input TDR

I removed stock lift pump, and mounted a summitracing carter electric (same as stock) on inside of frame just in front of tank. Aside from the pusher benifit, it also makes for rapid replacement in the future. and is only $89 at www.summitracing.com

Hi RobertMiller1, how about a part number for that pump? My brandy new stocker is only kicking out 10-11 at idle, guage mounted at the outlet side of the filter, with a new filter. Would my 99 use the same fuel pump?

Cheers,

Steve J

ROBERTMILLER1,what kinda pressure you seein ? did you juust extend the fuel line and power line to a more convienient location? this sounds like somethink someone should have done a long time ago. if it is workin well, and supplying lots of press. to the inje. pump. how long you had this setup?

Carter replacement

Sorry we hi-jacked this thread. Hope this info stops this detour.

Carter CRT-4601HP (www.summitracing.com p/n) $87. 88 plus shipping/handling

Product Line Carter Universal Rotary Vane Electric Fuel Pumps

Free Flow Rate 100 gph

Maximum Pressure (psi) 18 *** I see 12 psi with Geno's larger banjo bolts.

Inlet Size 3/8 in. NPT

Inlet Quantity Single

Inlet Attachment Female threads

Outlet Size 3/8 in. NPT

Outlet Quantity Single

Outlet Attachment Female threads

I just spliced into the existing wireing to the pump and extended it rearward. Also noted Carter specifies much larger wire gauge than Chrysler used! another screw up on this lift pump installation. I spliced in the larger wire by soldering and heatshrink. I wasn't going to add to the problem. Carter should write a strong protest letter to Chrysler and publish it on the internet.

I'll try to get some pictures. posted later. raining outside now.

14. 5 at idle, 12 at 65 and 10-10. 5 at WOT or about 31-3200 rpm. I like the idea of replacing it with a unit that is in front of the tank for ease of replacement down the road. Hope I don't have to do that for a while.
