Good day. I have a stock '00 4x4 quadcab which I bought a couple of months ago. Allegedly, the transmission was rebuilt. I have no idea what this entailed but, so far, it's running great.

I am planning to keep this truck for a while. I'm not planning on heavy HP upgrades but I'll probably experiment with the Adrenaline a bit when I put it in.

I'm going to have my local transmission shop check out the health for me so I have a better idea what I'm working with. One upgrade I've been looking at is the BD Pressureloc.

As far as I understand it, the PL arm replaces the throttle position arm and the throttle position cable attaches to that new PL arm. Is this right?

If so, how does the PL prevent moving the throttle pedal when it's activated by lockup?

Also, judging from personal use, what value would you place on your own Pressureloc?

Thanks for the input.

I have a pressure lol that was on the pickup when I bought it. I love it, the chev and frd guys can up their line pressure with a programer but us 727 guys have no electronics to do this for us so a vacum cylinder ups the pressure manually as if you were giving it 90% throttle. When it actuates you feel in in the throttle pedal since it is decreasing the pressure needed to hold the pedal down. It is just a collar that slips over the rod so it can only apply force one way so it isnt able to move the throttle. Just fool the transmission into thinking it has more throttle. Works great

Thanks. I wonder why it only increases pressure to the TC and clutches when the TC is locked up? From all the transmission discussions, I was thinking that more pressure is good all the time.
