I am building an overland camper on my 2006 3500 DRW (converting to SRW), 48RE transmission and want advice on preventive maintenance and/or upgrades at 90,000 miles, including the front end, drive train, cooling system and engine. What about the water pump, thermostat, cooling and heater hoses, brake fluid, vibration dampener, additional fuel filter, belt. Of course I do not want to spend any unnecessary money. I will be driving from Colorado to Alaska to Patagonia and looking to minimize repairs and failures. What do you recommend?

Water pump and thermostat can be swapped out, and made into good spares if you have the room.

The cooling system should be about due for it's 2nd change, hoses might not be a bad idea.

The harmonic dampers are wear items, but it should be good for more than 100K miles. An inspection is a good idea anyhow. If you replace it the early 6.7 viscous damper is a cost effective replacement that doesn't wear out like the OEM.
