Thats the idea!! you pay the exact price the employee pays (and no matter which dealer either)... Thats already a great price, we the dealer have no more to budget... Heck the EP price is like 5% under invoice! Thats not too shabby in my book

Genros,

I just bought my truck on Monday and I can tell you that they are not negotiating. I was told by one dealership in the Sacramento area that they have lost approx. 65% of their salespeople because no one is making money on the EPP pricing. In fact, they are all cranky about the whole program and wish it would go away.

I took my trade into one dealership and they quoted me about $5000 below the wholesale price. They basically are looking to make money by other means than the new vehicles they are selling.

So, I sold my trade on my own and went back to the dealership and bought the truck I wanted, even the right color. The trucks are disappearing fast around here and I am sure they will not have a lot of trucks left with the popular options people want by the end of the weekend... . just my opinion.

On an interesting side note, THe dealer I stopped by had an 05 w/ 3500 miles on it that was about 4k below a "new" one. Full warrenty & all.

It hurt to walk away from that one...

The "trade-in" was different in my case. I walked in and said, "the only difference between you and the dealer down the road is what you are going to give for my trade. " They gave me good money for my trade to get my business.

I just got home from a dealer 70 miles from me that had the truck I wanted. I got $22,500 for the truck in my sig. Drove out with a 2005 q/c 4x4 slt dually, nv5600 six speed big horn package for $34,066 :D :D :D

I found 15 in St. Louis - the truck you just mentioned should not be hard to find - It is one of the most commonly ordered configurations, QC4x4-sport...

I also tried to haggle the dealer below employee pricing and they wouldn't budge. I used a broker and got even lower than employee pricing. My broker told me that it was the "normal" price they always get regardless of employee pricing. The dealers were around 18% below sticker and my broker got me 20% off. I also didn't have to pay and dealer fees like handling or filling. Nor did I have to get beat up by the finance guy to buy any extras like warranty, window etching, bed liners or such. This is the second time I used this broker, first to buy my 2001. 5 CTD last year, and I will use them from now on. I even go out and try to make my own deals while my broker is finding my truck and I can't come close to the deals my broker comes to me with. Plus they always find the right truck i. e. color, options for me. There are also some other things they do for me in addition to finding the right truck. If you are in the Denver area I would highly recommend them. Give me a PM and I will give you their name and number. Don't want to be accused of spaming.

Folsom Lake Dodge in the Sacramento area is advertising $1000. 00 below EP. They are banking on hitting their wholesale objective money, and also selling accessories on every vehicle (like Dave Smith). The bottom line is they are going to make money one way or the other. Dealers don't stay in business by selling at no profit.
