Price increase

I just recieved the invoice on my new truck. It is dated March 3, and the prices on the options are about 3% higher than what I was quoted (or is estimated more correct?) on Feb. 13. The invoice on the base truck only went up $75. The total invoice is up about 1%. I suspect that March 1 was the magic date. The MSRP did not change. Is this how Dodge is supposed to make more $$$ to keep Daimler happy?

Mine came in with a sticker price about $300 over what they told me it would be. (Base price increase) But we agreed on a price before I ordered and they ate the difference. If it was a dealer locate then they could probably get away with it if some of the options were different. But not on an ordered vehicle. IMO

Mine came in same as NormE's, about $350 difference. Dealer told me they did this so when the '02 models came out dodge could say they didn't go up in price between year models.
I pick mine up Saturday. . Yeee Hawww!! #ad

I ordered on Feb 9th, delivered March 13th. Paid a $290. increase. I made the same reply to the dealer, that's how Chysler is paying for that big German loss. Even the Air Dam on the front went up $1. 00

It's still worth every penny, 400 miles on it and still growing.

My dealer agreed to split the difference on the increase. That reduction will acturally bring the price below the new invoice price, plus I still got the $1000 rebate. I keep wondering if I should have ordered the HO 6 speed. After I pick up the truck from the dealer at 9:00 AM tomarrow, I have an appointment at 11:00 AM at Line-X for a bed liner installation. Side steps are on the living room floor, and the the trailer brake controller is on the way.

I picked up the new truck at 10:30 this morning, and drove it straight over to the Line-X shop where they installed the bed liner in two hours. Next I had to pick up a new mattress set for a friend and deliver it, and now I'm back home, but don't bother me now because I'm putting on the Westin CPS Nerf Bars. I read on the forum that it takes about an hour and two beers to install them. I checked, and I have four cold ones in the frig. , so if anyone wants to help, come on over.

So far, no defects found, although the check engine light was on when I drove away from the dealer. Was out on the next startup. Could that be caused by fuel filler cap not secured?. No noticable steering pull, and the transmission shifts fine. I can't believe how easy it is to drive. Stereo sounds better than the Infinity Gold system in the 98 Grand Cherokee.

When I went and got my truck. the dealer told me that they (DC) had a price increase since my ordering. I payed the price we agreed on when I ordered.

No bombing planed at this time. I'll have to see how it tows after we get a 5th wheel, but that is at least a year away. It sure is a kick to drive. Love the manual transmission. I haven't had one of those since '94.

My dealer did not even look at the sticker. I am maying the agreed price. I have yet to pick it up. The truck came in last Saturday, the dealer got the perp done on Friday at 4:10 PM and I did some inspection on it Saturday. The fancy vanity mirrors were not installed, one stone chip on the botttom corner of the drivers door, the pain in the drivers quarter tailgate latch area is faint enought to see the primer and the tailgate has no lube on the rubber stops/hinge.

My truck looks awesome, I can't wait till I get the paperwork done. I still have some more things to check on before I am 100% satisfied.
