Price of Diesel (CA)

I just paid $100. 00 for a 35 gallen fill up at chevron. That's 5 count them 5 $20. 00's. "OUCH".

I guess that means no McDonalds tonight gotta stay home and cook eh? :-laf

it's 3. 21 up here in the hills... that was 3 days ago, I'm sure it gone up since I saw it



I fill down in the valley an hour away, I've got 90 gal. holding ability and save 20/25 cents a gal.

Fuel taxes & gov't.

Hope everybody read your last post carefully -



EIGHTY percent [80%]

of the price of fuel in Norway is TAX !!



Yeoww!

So let's see - that $5. (+) a gallon you're whining about

really only costs one dollar ($1. ) [BEFORE Taxes!]



Think the gov't in NORWAY has their hand/s in your

shorts - BIG TIME !

Make that - - BOTH hands - and BOTH feet!



Sounds like the "why" our forefathers had that "Tea Party"!



As I assume you know, in the US fuel prices vary from

State to State. Federal tax -AND State tax.

[Other factors also]

So you see a fairly wide range of prices.



But, a lot of politicians (here) would be out of a job in

very short order with 80% tax on a gallon of fuel !!



So - fill us in on other taxes in Norway. Sales tax?

Property tax?
