Cummins Northwest in Portland Or. is selling the rest of there Prime-loc systems below cost!!!!! It is limited to stock on hand, but they have quite a few left for the ISB, and for 1992, 93 Rams. They go for about $200, but they are letting them go for $59. 99!!!! :) They also have systems for other apps, so give them a call!!!

1-800-283-0336. These won't last long so call now!!!!!! ;) :) :p

we have them for the 12 valve

We have some for both. The two I have that will fit 89 -96 is a kit that is not specific to the dodge. The only diference would be instead of having a crome braket that goes over your valve covers you get a black piece of angle iron that you can mount where you want. It still fixes the problem of having the filter in a hard to change place. :)

just curious..... i am not anywhere close to a mechanic. i just changed my fuel filter tonight. it took me 15 minutes just the way cummins jessup told me how to. i used a broom handle and primed the filter with the vent screw cracked open. 20-30 pushes on the primer. got in and cranked right over. MAYBE 2 turns at the most. i put on 5k mi per month. why would anyone spend $60/$200/ anything on relocation of the fuel filter. do you change it that often that you need to relocate it. maybe i'm missing something. thanks. scott.

30 pushes

Do you have to prime the "prime-loc" or just fill the filter up with fuel?Because i could do that in 4 minutes. 97 4X4 x-cab bank's power pac dunwrong tran's

Scott, I agree 100%. I don't understand why folks make such a big deal out of changing the stock filter. After you do it a couple of times you're an expert. IMO the Prime-Locs just get in the way of doing other work on the engine and are a waste of money. Unless you are getting crummy fuel every 20k is plenty for changing the filter, some folks even go 50k. It's a good idea to change the filter at least once a year though. I learned the hard way ($4K) on a Caterpillar that the fuel filter media can come unglued after long periods, when it does all the crud on the filter goes straight to the injection pump.

How about emailing me these instructions.

I have seen and copied several sets of instructions off this board. All contain some method of contortions one has to perform in order to get the filter canister in/out. You are right they are not changed that often. At $200 is was not worth it. At $60 I was thinking about it. But I have a 12v and their not on the sale. ( ?? )

Now if you have a method that is not undo the brake master cylinder, push this and that out of the way, get 2 or 3 elbo joints installed in your arm, stand on your head, with the stars and moon aligned just right, etc. then $60 wont be worth it either.
