Proper Tow Truck for a Dodge Cummins

so this seems like a begineer's question. and I'm sure the manual remarks on the topic, however what happens when you run out of fuel in a newer cummings. - and don't say " you stop" ;) is there a repriming method for getting the truck started. or do you have to have it towed in?

Cycle the key on. You'll hear about 20 seconds of lift pump running. Turn back off try again. If it doesn't run again just slightly bump the engine over, dont' try to start. This should cycle the lift pump again. It's what we have to do when we drain the fuel filter housing when changing our fuel filters.

I think the owners manual says if you run it out of fuel put a signifigant amount of fuel in (at least 5 gallons). Then turn the key to on and just "bump" the starter like was said above. Do this a few times and then crank it and it should fire up. Your best bet is to just not run out of fuel :-laf
