Everyone uses them... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... . They smoke at idle really well and will cause you problems if you tow with then unless you have goodly amounts of air.

I have been running the Lucas (POD) injectors for over five years in my 89 D250. They were originally purchased in 03/01 from (Big Don) Peters, as what was originally referred to as the "Ol' Blue specials". I recently removed them from my 89, pulled the 9mm adaptor sleeves, and I'm now running them in my 93. When I mash the go pedal in in 5th gear, I'm pegging the boost guage at 30psi. (I would only see about 24psi of boost in the 89. ) They will smoke like hell when you floor it, but if you are easy on the throttle, they are not too offensive. I always love it when I get a tailgator on the highway. Just mash the pedal for for about three seconds, and they will back off really quick in a cloud of black soot! I will say that these injectors are about the best performance upgrade for the money.

PODs

I bought a rust bucket for parts that had PODs but I never drove the truck except to load it on a trailer and then a few miles when I got home with it. They do smoke a lot under full throttle and you can definitely feel the increased torque. Probably give good service and mileage after you got past the new 'playing around'.

Ha! I knew it. I said I paid 460. 00 from PDR and am told I was ripped off. I had to rethink what I paid for them and am sure it WAS 460. 00



They are on e-bay, for like 320. 00 I don't know if they are the same or not... ... ... ...

hey thanks guys i just ordered those inectors and a 13" south bend clutch what kind of horsepower can i expect out of this truck. it's a 92 extended cab 4x4 long wheel base. it'll have those injectors that clutch and the pump will be turned up all the way. stock turbo and 4 inch exhuast and cold air intake. what else little stuff can i do to gain some horsepower besides a turbo.

So how much power over my stock 160 hp '92 would the bosch 190's be? I'm just looking for something to tow with and keep my good mileage, and not real high egt's, I've got my '03 for my need for speed. thanks
