Private messages/private emails

I've sent a couple of private emails to members in the last two days, and do not see them in the "sent" folder.



I liked the old system when you wanted to send a private email to another member, it was sent through my ISP and I had a record of "sent mail". (I think I described this accurately??)



What am I doing wrong here?? thanks.

I just checked my Sent Items in the Private Message area.

Click on "User CP" and the on "Private Message". Once I was there I change the pull down options to more than the last 5 days, and changed the other one from Inbox to Sent Items folder.

Everything I had sent in the last 10 days was there.



Did you change the pull down selections?

Well I have noticed the same thing. There is a reason it is this way, it prevents people from "mining" the TDR bulletin board for unsolicted emails.



It is kinda of annoyin tho... . is there a way to change it? Not that I know of. Maybe Ken will post here and validate my statement and maybe offer an alternative?

Spammers...

You are correct. It prevents email address harvesters. You have the option of turning on your email address to TDR members if you prefer it.



I hate exposing my address. As site admin I get 20-30 spams per day.
