Proflaps

Joe,

Have a full set on my 05 DRW with the steel weights on the bottom. Nice and stiff look great and fit great. My dealer installed them, I love them.

I've had them on my truck for about three years. Install was easy, I used stainless bolts instead of the supplied hardware. When drilling, be sure to measure from both lower corners of the flaps to the ground to make sure they are straight, nothing looks worse than a set of crooked mud flaps, JMHO.

I also painted then sealed all the holes with silicone to avoid rust, some say don't use silicone on auto paint but I've never had a problem. Mine have the stainless weight on the bottom and look great. Another thing you might buy, if you haven't already, is a set of wheel liners, good protection and better looking with a set of mud flaps.

I highly recommend getting a good set of mud flaps and running boards, excellent protection against rock chips.

Good Luck,

Bill

I love mine, I've had them for a year now. Pretty easy install once you figure out how to use the bracket. I used the rubbery windshield gasket stuff that looks like black taffy (for lack of not knowing the proper name) to seal the screw holes I drilled. The proflaps cover my tires well (285/75/16). Nothing looks worse than those small oem mud flaps that only cover 2/3 of the tire.

76. 00 - 89. 00 per pair gees! I like my "dodge" mudflaps that I bought from the dealer 20/pair. Althought I wish they were just a bit longer and a hair wider they still get the job done. They arnt too bad with my 285/75/16 BFG's I had to put em on since the tires were throwing way too many stones and they were beating up the paint and my tip.

The pro flap site doesnt give a good photo of a truck with them on :( ah well

Hey, do you guys have the web page for the Pro Flaps or some of the other mud flap brands. I cant find a pair that are long enough to keep the mud off my back fender & bumper. Thanks, Larry

DuraFlap

I was overdue for mudflaps and studied quite a bit before I bought. What I found was that none of the cheaper type came in the size and configuration that I wanted and I wasn't willing to pay for full-on custom Northwest Custom. I found DuraFlap http://www.kaydenco.com/dodgepage.html#OUR # 2X SS,formerly known as Kaydenco.

Since I have a tallish stock 4x4 with 265-75 tires, I wanted flaps that were wider than standard but not dually-wide. I wanted plain flaps in front and smooth, shiny stainless steel weights on the rear only to annoy short cars with bright lights following too close.

The fronts are Style #7 without stainless steel weights: 12" wide, 20" tall, 3/4" thick.

The rears are Style #2ss with stainless steel weights: 12" wide, custom cut 27" tall, 3/4" thick.

These things don't sail and they're alot tougher than the fenders they mount to.

Boondocker, I wanted a long flap (27") and you can get that with the Duraflaps. I ordered a pair today. Thanks for the info and the pics, Larry

Nice looking truck!!

I just went ahead and bought full size (30"x24") semi mudflaps from cummins powerstore for $37. I cut a notch for the spring pack and fabbed up a little bracket, now I just need some stacks to keep the soot off my right mudflap!!
