2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Problem right after starting truck

This is about a 2001 CTD, automatic trans, 4X4, with 105K mi. Whenever the truck is started the engine lopes, the best way I can describe it, but only for less than a minute or so and then it's just fine. Could this be due to a weak battery?

Do over valved engines have overflow valves? That's the symptoms mine had when the spring got weak.

I don't think so. I didn't notice.

yes on the overflow valve, just in front of the fuel supply going to the pump.



24 v ov flow valves usually last awhile, my bet is that the of valve is fine. See if it has any codes.
