id posted about a problem with my truck refusing to take fuel through the fill tank as well as an aux tank acting up. after taking it to the finest dealer service dept that ive dealt with, here is what was found. there was a piece of shopcloth or heavy paper towel type material in the bottom of the main tank. some of it had been sucked up into the vent tee. the next question that we all had was where did this trash come from. my rep said that if it was in the aux tank, then it would have bee alot more chewed up than it was . that left one answer, it was in the main tank. after pondering on this most of last night, i took baby 4 to see if i could fill her up properly this am. as i stood there {finally} filling up, a noticed the out of service pump next to mine with a rag stuck in the nozzle. its always something simple that can ruin a good day. i cant say that ive made it a practice to stare into the nozzle before i fuel, but i guess ill start. just be careful with your trigger finger if you decide to heed this advice.
