I have an o1 auto. I been having trouble making boost after i would get done playing around and getting the pyro around 1400* briefly. When it gets hot like that it just will not make boost unitl the rpms get up around 2300. It doesnt get past 4-5 until then. Any help on this problem.
 
Sometimes

Sometimes the wastegate sticks in the open position, and if it does, the truck will smoke like a freight train till it can get enough volume of air through the turbo to get some boost.



Keep a mechanic's mirror in the truck, take a look at the wastegate arm when the turbo is working correctly, [WG closed] Then when it starts to 'act-up' look with the mirror and see if the WG arm is jambed in the open position.

You could also put a 22 shell in the wastegate hardline to block it off, make sure the wastegate is closed, and drive it for a few days to see if the problem goes away. May throw an overboost code unless you have a boost fooler, but you should see the boost build. How do you get it to 1400* 'playing' anyway if you don't have a box? :D

I have the tst comp.



It all started when i was playing around with a ricer on an all out run. I guess his wouldnt go about 120mph. Right after that is when it wouldnt make any boost. After about 20 min it started to work properly. I accidently done it again later on :D and it was the same senario. Lately it does it whenever i get it above 13-1400 one time.



I run the box on 7 most of the time but now run it back on 4 and 5 like i did before i got the transmission worked on.

p. s. i also need a good turbo for 150hp sticks, any good ideas.
