I STILL WANT MORE POWER!!!!!!!

I have had the EZ on for a few months, just put in the DD1's and I am all:D :D :D

For now I have to leave the EZ box off cause I am still stock in the transmission dept:(

After driving a truck with a comp and DD3's (you know who you are:D ) it just won't do:{

I drove DD1's with a VA and boost module or an EZ on a bone stock transmission for over 50K miles, now it is 75++ HP more and still on the stock transmission. Over 12K miles at the current power level. transmission is about 108K total miles. It can be done.

LSmith, Just curious what mod did you do to add 75+ hp to your setup? Or, are you saying that your VA & EZ gave about 75 hp, and thats where you left it.

Im at that point also, and am still contemplating the next upgrade. Was curious how your mods worked out.

Yea, DD1's have run very smooth & snappy in my truck, but like Torque This says "Still Want More". Would hate to lose the drivability of the DD1's. They run great when just putting around taking it easy.

But wanting 3's sooo baaad. hehe.

LSmith, good point, need to stay on topic.

Ill send ya a message. Will be interesting to see if theres life after DD1's & a VA.

I am still in the market for a nice set of low mileage pre-owned DD1's when someone wants to upgrade... ... ... ... ... ... .

Ahha, will keep ya in mind Barry. Actually, mine have about 40-50k on them, but they sure run good. Im sure someone will come through for ya sooner or later

This does bring up a question that Ive had for a while now.

Keeping on topic, suppose someone came along & offered Torque This, some used dd3's. If they just came out of another truck, should the tips have the carbon cleaned off, or should they be installed the way they are. Id be concerned about cleaning them & lodging a particle in a nozzle & causing a problem. Is there a special way of handling/cleaning them for sale??

DD3's:D Oo.

When I put in my DD1's they were used, had very little carbon on them. I just used some diesel on a rag and wiped them off, they cleaned up really good!! Don't know if your supposed to do it like that but I didn't have any problems.

I also posted in the 2nd Engine and Drivetrain about converting an auto to a 5 / 6 speed manual.

Don't know what I'm gonna do yet:confused:

PS: I forgot to mention that 2 injector cap bolts were LOOSE:mad: Anyone else ever see this??

Don't manually clean them at all! Install them as is and run some good fuel conditioner. The carbon is not a problem!

If you find your injector clamp bolts loose, I would definately use a torque wrench on them. Last time I changed injectors, I took mine up to 12nm.
