My driver side seat is not working properly. The switch that raises and lowers the back of the seat is not working. I have taken the switch panel apart and the contacts are fine. Is the motor dead or is there a short somewhere? Is there a way to work the motor manually without the switch? How can I check the motor and the switch to see which one is faulty? Any advice appreciated. Thanks.

DC released a TSB on this very problem... right after my Dodge dealer replaced (under warranty) the entire power seat track assembly.

In my case, the bottom back portion of the seat up/down adjuster was adjusted to its lowest position and subsequently stuck there. As it turns out, I experienced the same problem maybe six months later. As I remember, I simultaneously (manually) rotated the appropriate seat drive screw while activating the appropriate switch. That worked and I haven't had a problem since.

When you find out, let me know. Mine has a mind of it's own. Sometimes it does. . . sometimes it doesn't. . . kind of like having a wife. I do know that on occasion the circuit breaker for the power seat/heated seat can get hot. If I knew which end of a tool to pickup I could check it, but. . .

John,

where is the adjustment screw located to raise the back of the seat? If you can let me know I can fix this myself. Also what kinda of screw driver or allen wrench will I need? Thanks
