Hi, Self inflicted after towing hay all day, backing my 25 ft gooseneck with the tractor on it and got to close to a small tree / shrub due to the nature of my driveway. The small 1" diameter limbs caught the drivers mirror and pushed if forward. I did not think much of this until I went to pull the mirror back in and it will not lock in the normal driving position. On looking at it - the body of the mirror were it attaches to the arm is like a 1/2 inch above the arm, versus almost no clearance at the rotating joint on the pass side mirror. The mirror still swings its full range, but will not lock in place. I took the cover plastic off the bottom of the mirror - round 2" piece but did not see an adjustment.. Tried tapping lightly downward on the joint to see if it would "pop" back in place. No go. I did not find any broken pieces during the visual.. For temp I put electrical tape around mirror and arm to hold in position.
This is on the 2006 in sig. Manual mirror with power and heat.
Thoughts? I have searched this forum and the internet and have not found an illustrated parts breakdown or info on this issue.

Thanks,

Luke

try moving it back n forth maybe it will pop back down into place ?

Thanks, I did try that a number of times, still in same situation - black electrical tape keeps it from moving in the wind.... I will have to pull the mirror off the truck and try to fix when I get some time. Have searched a number of forums but have not found info on this issue. Could be I broke the rotation mechanism locking position tab when it went too far forward.

Thanks, Luke
