Suggestions for best Toy Hauler

I have had my Prodigy brake controller for a little over a year and recently it started giving me problems. When the controller is plugged in, you'll usually get the 2 steady red dots on the screen but mine recently started giving me 2 blinking bars at the top of the screen in addition to the red dots. It doesn't matter if the trailer is plugged in or not. The braking performance has also become pretty poor as it where I use to see 3. 0 under heavy braking, it rarely goes above 1. 0 unless you push and hold for a while then it will just jump up.

My wife already gave me the "Why didn't you keep the directions" speech, so spare me from that. I swear that woman has every set of directions she has ever gotten. I thought I had the directions but apparently the dog ate them so if you could help me out, I would appreciate it.

Thanks,

Pat

According to Tekonsha's website your controller is mounted at too steep of an angle based on the top two bars flashing. So the question is have you remounted the controller recently or somehow altered your trucks ride height in such a way that the angle of the controller has changed? If not I'm thinking you might want to call Tekonsha for more help.

It is, as he says, an error code indicating that the nose (dislplay end) is to low. Mine is very close to level, and on acceleration I will occasionally get the two bars. Since it is only on acceleration, (read no braking) I don't get too worried about it. I think they want the nose up. . Can't recall the specs, but anywhere from 5° to 60° ought to work nicely

I didn't even think of going to their website, thanks guys. You know what's funny, I had previously removed the 2 lift blocks on the rear axle to make the truck sit level. I re-installed them and then the next time I towed the trailer, the blinking started. The BC isn't always installed, just when I tow so I didn't put the 2 together. I'm amazed it's that sensitive because it's pretty close to level. I'll horse around with it and see what it does.

PS: I just talked to Tekonsha and they said if it blinks through all angles they will exchange it as it has a lifetime warranty. I didn't know it had a lifetime warranty, I'm use to getting screwed by companies when it comes to returning a product, so that was refreshing. Did you know that Sears won't warranty their torque wrenches for even one day over a year? I do from experience.

I saw a guy drop a 36" 150 ft-lb torque wrench about 7 feet. For some odd reason the calibration lab rejected it :p
