I bought a system from Rip a week ago for my 99 3500 QC and I am trying to install it today as I need to work in the AM. when I tighten the flange on the downpipe at the turbo outlet it pulls the downpipe over and it contacts the passanger side frame member. I have tried everything and I believe I have a poor made downpipe. Am I missing something?

Thanks

Phil

And...

I tried rotating the downpipe but it's flange still favors pulling it towards the frame unless I tighten the bolts unevenly. The flange even with it hitting the frame are clearly not centered in the turbo outlet. The lip of the downpipe is higher up on the engine side than the passenger side.

I am at a loss.

I have installed a total of four of Rip's systems and never a problem.

What I would do is install the Downpipe and tighten the drivers side bolt more to pull it that way... ... if it does not leak then you don't have a problem. :) Then call Rip tomorrow and he will take care of you. ;)
