I am soon to take delivery of my new truck and wondered If any of you had problems getting the advertised 0% interest with 2K cash back incentive?

I know sometimes it is next to impossible to "qualify" for the special interest rates.

Thanks,

Doug

Doug,

We chose to do the $2500 rebate and found our own financing through Costco. We got 3. 94% through them. Then, met witht he finance guy at the bank and ended up doing 3. 04% through Chase. Sure, they make a little money on their end, but it was almost a full point lower than what we were expecting. We COULD have done the 48 month 0%, but I did not want to push it.

It depends upon your credit score. I got an "preliminarily approved" notice from Chrysler Financial (dealer took the app back 4 weeks ago when I ordered). But, and I'm not trying to brag, just stating a fact, my credit score is very high.

The 0% program may or may not be available when I take delivery in mid-March, depending on whom you believe about sold order protection, and stuff like that.

When I got mine in Jan. they were offering the $2500. When I sat down with the salesman I asked about 0%. He checked on it, came back and said "no problem" but I did have to change the rebate $2000. I did have a pretty substantial down payment so that may have helped.

Where i bought my truck the finance guy said that your credit score needs to be over 700. Dodge 0% used Equifax to run your credit. I was gonna put 5000 down but only ended up leaving 500 down because of the 0% for 48. I put the money that I had to put down into an investment fund that my wife overlooks, so I can't take the money to buy my boat/truck things. So its kinda a extended warrenty/sick day fund. Very good deal, I think i would do the same even if I would have had 30,000 to pay cash for truck.

Then MOST people shold qualify. Unless your credit REALLY sucks, most are over 700 (I'm in the mortgage business, and see people's credit reports every day).

I was told my credit score had to be 700. I had 690. I qualified for 0% but when I did the numbers it was better to go with the $2500 rebate and 1. 34% still can't beat the rate.
