An American truck, with an American motor, owned by Germans, put together by Mexicans, sold by Jews. :-laf

Boy I love this country!!

I will gladly pay my membership dues just for the great reading! Amen on the great Mexican trucks!... ... ... ... . I wish I had one... ... ... ... . My sorry a** "Union Special" runs just good enough to get to the dealership every month for it's next visit! Eating injectors like candy now, and axle seals, and air conditioning compressors, and hydro-boost lines, and trans... ... ... ... . Sorry, I'll shut up now. :{

Hi DFitzwater, we spent a lot of time in Fairbanks as well as all over Alaska last summer in our Mexican built truck and camper. We loved Alaska so much that we plan on going again next summer.

Once someone told me a story years ago. His father had some old vehicle I forgot what type and for years they had a rattling noise that no one was ever able to find that was coming from the left front fender area. He purchased the vehicle new from the dealer. One day his vehicle was involved in an accident and the left front fender had to be replaced. The bodyshop found the noice when they removed the fender it was a beer bottle or can that was put in there when they put the fender on at the mfr. That was beer day!

That urban legend has been around longer than the term "urban legend"! :-laf

Seriously, I've heard it so many times and in so many different ways it is amazing that it's still going around.

I suppose it could have been true at some point (they used to say it was a Coke bottle), but I have my doubts.

Guess what. After reading this I went out and looked at my US built 07. Passenger rear door sticks out about a 1/2 inch at bottom, the hood is about a 1/4" toward the passenger side at the rear, I knew I was in trouble when it sprung a water leak pulling of the lot with it. It was a busted upper radiator hose clamp. Should have just bought a head for my 05 instead of trading it.

I'd take it to the dealer and have them fix everything that need work or realigning.
