My 01 has recently started giving me problems during left turns when I accelerate heavily from about 1/2 throttle or higher. As I increase the throttle the engine seems to start and stop over and over as if I was turning the ignition on and off. At first I thought it was breaking the tires loose like it sometimes does on rainy days but that is not the case. The heavier the throttle, the worse the bucking. Once I'm through the turn and let off a little, the problem goes away. This only happens on left turns. I cannot make it happen under normal to heavy straight line acceleration or in right turns. I did notice a slight haze of blueish smoke when it happens.
I tow a 6000 lb trailer sometimes and it never happens no matter how much fuel I give it unless I am initiating a left turn.
I have an appointment at the dealer but I wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this or anything similar.
It is a 2001, 2500, automatic, 4X4 with 55K miles. Its just a kid.
Thanks for any ideas or help,
buckbo
