Problems with Cruise Control

My cruise control will ingage but once it starts to ad power for a hill it cuts off, the "cruise" light does stay on. No check engine lights everything else is fine. Any ideas?

With all your mods , the computer probably doesn't expect it to come up on power as quick as it does and shuts it off, will it set again as soon as you level out ?

I have to restart the truck before the cruise control will reactivate. I don't think my mods are the issue, it worked before.

Not sure about this truck but some have an impact/position level sensor that will disengage the cruise under conditions that would indicate an accident. (safety concern).
In a previous vehicle I had such a device which became intermittent. I mention this because you indicate a hill was involved.

Found the problem, hornets made a nest in the servo while the truck sat waiting on me to rebuild the motor, cleaned it out all is well. thanks for the help.
