Ya I know this is an old post that I'm bringing back from the dead, but in regards to putting a hose (a 90 degree that extends down a few inches) on the drain tube it allows to water to completely drain away from evaporator housing, without the hose some of the water that comes out of the tube "wicks" its way back along the plastic of the tube and finds its way back inside the truck soaking the carpet and padding under it, if you go inside the truck and look where the tube goes out, pull back the carpet there and it is probably wet from the water entering slowly over time. Did these come from the factory with an angled tube that has probably dried up and fallen off from the heat from the exhaust?

No, they did not come with an angled tube. Nothing has fallen off, it just gets old and dirty and the water begins to find other ways to go instead of down.
