Prodigy tail light source, help!

To All,



I ordered my truck w/o factory hitch as I figured I'd be adding aftermarket bumper/hitch. Got a Prodigy brake controller and figured how hard could it be, just go to the brake light switch & find the hot & cold side. Well, I found a lot of wires... ... ... . I'm sure I can find the hot one, but am concerned about messing up a computer if I tie into the wrong wire. I'm guessing the other wires go to other places other than just the tail lights, there's like 6 or 8 wires going to the switch. Anyone know which one/s are the tail light wire?

I have an '03. I looked at the blue plug under the dash, but it seems to only have two wires going to it. Guess the towing pkg. would have had more wires. I planned on wiring the controler & directions call for getting signal from the brake/tail light swith.
