OK, I have to ask. Mr. McBride, please post your facts to support the claim mentioned above. I read your post to say that you are now bigger in public exposure than the NHRA. How? They have national events that hit a larger TV, Internet, and Spectator audience in one event than the DHRA has ever done since it's conception.

I simply want the facts. Let them stand on their own.

I am feeling ignored..... :(

I cant believe no one has commented on my pic. It was probably not used in a situation where it would have the most pop, but you have to admit it is funny... .

No... . this is funny

Good point- but we are changing that, we just signed with Maple Grove for July 14th! Oo.

what about MIR? is it not big enough, they host the NHRA presidents cup every year, and a big rig nationals event, and then some Oo.

Robert,

I love MIR, that's where I ran my first 12-second run in Stack'd-n-Jack'd in 2002! And, the Royce's are great to work with, great suggestion and I'll pass it on to the Competition Director.

Scott, I'm not ignoring you, I went back and corrected the way I stated my sentence. Thanks for pointing that out.

I appreciate the clarification.

I realize that the DHRA is working hard to promote the sport, but the original wording (obviously not your intent) reminded me of a guy that kept telling me the tall tale of the car that he had was so fast that you could not grab the $100 bill off of the dash when he gunned it... . RIGHT... ... ...

When I hear or see those kind of comments, I usually call them out.

Mr. McBride, I still IMHO think you need one more statement dropped from your edit... I do appreciate the edit you have done, thank you. But the NHRA one -I still believe is wrong.....

If we can get the ratings of viewers for the Pomona World Championships that ran Fri, Sat and twice Sunday- which Pomona is the superbowl of Drag Racing, and there were 2 more championships that went to the last race of the Powerade Tour-Pomona...

I do feel that yes-DHRA is leading the way in Diesel Motor Sports, cause you guys are, plain and simple. You put on a hell of a show and with Mr. David Dunbar running the show, heck you guys will get better and better. David has a tough job to do, but he will get the job done.

We (The PDRA) look forward to having an open channel to anything that would concern us and our rides with The DHRA. We also look forward to appearing at your events in the future also.

We are not biased to any motor sports affiliation. And I hope we have your blessing to have an open channel with David on any issues... .

Thanks. :)

Myself. .

I am in firm belief that too many sanctioning bodies water down the product and take away from any true national championship claims. How are you going to say your the best racer when the pool of racers are so divided already?. With the addition of the "PDRA" all you did was take away the consumers chance to see all the best diesel competitors at one track, under one sanctioning body and at one time. Remember this, its those consumers who are the ones who make your purses and provide you with the ability to do what you love best, race. Without them, the consumers, your bottom line costs will escalate tremendously threatening both your racing and your sanctioning body... ... ... . Andy

To help clarify, the PDRA is not a sactioning body. There are enough to go around already. All the PDRA is is a group of racers. We just wanted to solidify OUR direction, group together, not to create another santioning body. Yes, someday, it would be nice if we had one national group that represents all diesel racers, all events, and it would then be a perfect world.

Will it ever happen? Look how long it took NHRA, IHRA, ADRA, AHRA, and the others to get close to working together. They still compete. Why? They each have a different direction, and mission.

So, do not worry. The PDRA is not about to start holding its own races. There are plenty out there, and more all the time. Some are sanctioned and some are not. For most of us in the PDRA, there is not even a class for us to race in. We just go play. Exhibitionists, we are... ...
