Headlight adjustment

I own a 98, 12 valve 5. 9 manual shift, I have been told I cant chip , is that true, do you think a programer would help me gain mpg or liven up the old gal ? 240,000 miles Im trying to figure what to spend my money on, I reg. drive 200 mile round trips , currently ave. 17 mpg

Neither you have a mechanical injection pump and injectors. There are adjustments and different parts that will double your power if that is what you are looking for. Your clutch will be needing an upgrade though

You have the 215 hp p7100 ( The Holy Grail of pumps!!!). You would need a fuel plate and injectors.
I have the same set up on my 96 but has enough power for me.
A little extra fuel and advance the timing a little will get you better hP but EPA/State mite not be happy.

Where's the best place to buy parts, my headlight switch is shorting out ?
Be carefull there are a lot of Chineese and other off shore aftermarket parts out there that do not hold up well. Unfortunatly some OEM replacements have gone that way as well

Yeah OEM replacements are the longest shot if you're not into frequently replacing it. Chinese parts are cheap but only consider it if you're looking for a temporary solution with spending less bucks on the repair.

A little fun.

You cannot buy parts for those old truck anymore, I will offer say, $5,000 for it so you can buy newer truck.
I regret letting my 1995 go away.
