Ok,,Since I'm not a very good with the search engine here(I try but you know, sometimes I get what I'm looking for and sometimes zippo) so here goes a probably already covered question,,Of All you guys that are using propane injection can anyone tell me who's they like and why???,,Also to those running tipping a little giggle gas are your systems homemade or what company has a system that is efficent and does help our trucks some??,,I realize that by asking this its like opening a can of worms, but,in the endless pursuit of performance why go to a gun fight with a knife,,I also do realize these mods will need some other changes as far as the motor is concerned(I've already been the NO2 route on some of my street cars and know the deal),,This is a little winter project I'm working on along with a few other add ons,,Seems a few calls to some of my old nitrous connections have led me to dead ends(personally I think they believe were nuts for doing this),,I've been running a few ideas through my feeble little head for my truck and will pursue all options for my winter project,,Who's got them and how do you like them... .....

well I fit into this catagory.

I ran bullydog lpg for 3 or 4 years and had to many inconsistancies, weather, temp, altitude, bottle level, all affected it enough to constantly have to adjust the regulator. And after a few regulator freezups leading to the final straw, destroying a hx40, I changed to Performance diesels liquid converter and tank. I've not had a problem since.

Nos, I've had on for the last 5+ years. Basically I(and all diesel systems I'm aware of) use a dry system, meaning you only inject n02 and not inject diesel also. The amount of jetting you use is directly related to the amount of "over" fueling you have. I used a 42 jet for years and resently went to a 73 jet, the result was going from a 12. 99@102. 3 to 12. 67@104. 66 with almost no smoke. I use a pro shot cylinoid and inject it before the intercooler(that is were the hottest air is right out of the turbo).

I also got Nowel to run nos a couple of years ago, he bought the NOS kit for diesels and injects it through a fogger nozzle in the manifold. For comparison, he ran a 53 jet and we both made 60+ a little peak hp when I used a 42.

If you have any more questions feel free to ask.

I have no nitrous experience, but I completely agree with Adam on the propane issue. I've tried five or six different propane setups on my truck. My latest setup is a liquid system, and nothing else comes close.

My vapor systems work okay a low power levels, but if you start to push them you get inconsistancies like Adam mentioned. With the right conditions, apparently liquid droplets make it through the regulators and cause serious detonation.

On my last vapor system, I took three feet of copper tubing and tightly wrapped it around the water heater line. I then insulated the tubing to help more heat get into the lines. Even with this extra heat to help boil the propane into vapor, I still got occasional detonation. This mod definately helped, but didn't cure the problem.

My liquid system has been problem free, and more powerful than the vapor systems to boot.

My MPH in the 1/4 mile increased from 89 (no propane) to 95 with the liquid system.

Look to the people making SERIOUS power and see what they are running. If you look at HVAC's twin turbo pictures you see the Liquid propane convertor behind where the stock airbox sits.
